I’m going to be honest with you, the first trimester and the beginning of the second trimester can be difficult in the sense that your clothes are getting smaller, and your maternity clothes are too big. It’s the awkward period, where you have a flat stomach in the morning, but look pregnant in the evening. If you’re like me, where you’re three months in and still barely showing, it can tend to look like you’ve just gained a bit of weight in the belly. Wearing tight clothes can make you a bit self-conscious (I know it makes me feel like that), because you’re not quite to the point of the cute little bump. During my first pregnancy I definitely didn’t take note as to what would compliment my changing figure, since I pretty much just wore a loose chef coat…

First trimester is almost over! I couldn’t be more excited to get some of my energy back, even though this time around my first trimester was a walk in the park compared to the last! I thought I’d share the differences between my two pregnancies, by trimester, to show just how different each pregnancy can be. Energy: During my pregnancy with Oliver, I was working full time, 8+ hours on my feet all day, so naturally I was exhausted. This time around I’m a stay-at-home mom, and I found myself more exhausted than last time, probably because I didn’t have a full-time job to distract me. Plus, having an active toddler will definitely burn off whatever little energy I had each day. Morning Sickness: First pregnancy, I was MISERABLE! I had morning sickness from week two till my four month, and its…

I guess I can’t keep this secret any longer…baby Walter number 2 is on the way! We are so overjoyed for this new season of life, and excited for our family to grow and for another precious baby to enter the world! Being pregnant again is a little surreal, and I’m not quite used to the feeling yet. The thought of Oliver being a big brother fills me with joy, and I can’t wait to see him in his new role. I can’t wait to watch Chase become a dad again, and all the care and love he will show to our children! Being a mom again, and all the feelings that come with that is hard to put into words. I feel like I know what to expect, but at the same time I don’t. This pregnancy is already…

It’s not summer time without lots of berries, and that means visiting our local farm and pick-your-own berry patch! Our favorite: strawberries. I decided to make strawberry shortcake for Father’s Day our of our fresh picked berries (HERE‘s the recipe I used). We weren’t able to spend as much time leisurely picking as we wanted to, mainly because of the heat, but partly because unripe strawberries weren’t the only thing sour at the strawberry patch…haha I’m talking about Oliver’s attitude. Thankfully, I was able to bribe him with strawberries! Here are some photos from our day. 🙂 Outfit details: My Dress: Old Navy Straw Hat: Nordstrom My Sandals: Topshop Oliver’s Overalls: Thrifted (similar here & here) Oliver’s Sandals: Old Navy

phillipa embroidered dress (on sale!) On our recent visit to Georgia, Chase and I took a little walk in the woods one morning while Oliver played with his aunts, and we snaps some photos along the way. It was so nice to escape the rainy, dark weather in Pennsylvania and be in the sunshine and warmth for a little while. My outfit is from Kindred & Kin, and they have some of the prettiest every-day dresses! This floral embroidered dress is so cute, and the perfect length! I usually prefer my dresses a little longer, #1: because I’m a little tall, and #2: it’s much easier to chase after a kiddo when you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone. This dress is the perfect amount of roomy and flattering, with a crocheted design at the waist to give you…
